Local Housing - Prefabs and Chugler Bunk

Kirkfield Place in Ferry Lane was always known as Chugler Bunk. Postwar, at the Ferry Lane end of Balk Lane, a group of prefabs provided housing for many years; this view looks south, across what today is Nelly Spindler Way, to Dunbrik and the gravel quarry ropeway.
